Norris Leads Piastri in Brazilian Practice
The British driver has outscored Oscar Piastri at all of the previous five race weekends.
The McLaren driver just pipped team-mate and title rival the Australian for the top spot in the closing stages of practice at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Norris, who seized the championship lead from Piastri by just one point after his victory in the Mexican Grand Prix two weeks ago, outpaced the Australian by 0.023 seconds.
Earlier in the session, Piastri had been the quickest of the McLaren pair throughout the hour before the sprint shootout due at 18:30 GMT.
The Red Bull star, the other racer in the championship fight, lying 36 points behind Norris, ended up in 17th position as his team opted for a unique setup.
Verstappen's team-mate the Japanese driver was the only driver to go off, if briefly, when he spun at Turn Four early in the session.
Tsunoda lost control over the curbs on exit before sliding over the gravel trap, and was fortunate to get away with just a slight brush of the fence.
Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton also spun, at the conclusion of the practice, spinning around through the fast downhill corner leading to the last turn on to the main straight.
The veteran finished practice in 19th place, just behind teammate Charles Leclerc.
The McLaren drivers were significantly quicker of the other competitors, with Nico Hulkenberg's Sauber P3, over half a second slower than Piastri's pace.
The Aston Martin of Fernando Alonso was fourth quickest, with Sauber's Gabriel Bortoleto in front of Mercedes' George Russell and Alpine's Gasly and the Williams of Carlos Sainz.
