Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his interest in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is presently midway through the four-year agreement he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the initial important achievement of his illustrious career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he previously was, and would certainly contemplate prolonging his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
